TRAVEL TEAM ONLY OPTION POLICY VOTE

Any skater wishing to take the TTOO must fill out an application and a letter of intent stating that they are taking the TTOO. This letter will be due two weeks before Travel Team try-outs.

Travel Team Only skaters are classified as class A skaters, therefore will be required to fulfill class A requirements (dues, etc.).

Travel Team Only skaters will be required to fulfill the following according to Houston Roller Derby’s P&P: make-up policy, league practice attendance requirements, Travel Team practice attendance requirements, committee attendance requirements and event attendance requirements.

THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS PERTAIN TO WHO WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE TTOO

Should skaters who take an HRD Leave of Absence due to pregnancy or injury have the option of returning to HRD and taking the Travel Team Only Option? *With the stipulation that they left HRD in good standing.
Should current retired skaters be allowed to return to HRD as TTOO? *With the stipulation that they left HRD in good standing.
If you answered yes to question #4 above, what is the maximum number of years that the skater can have been in retirement?
In order to allow a transfer skater from another league to take the TTOO, how many years must they serve on an HRD home team?
Should one TTOO skater be required to serve on the Coaching Committee?
8. Should all TTOO skaters be on rotation to attend and assist with a home team or rec league practice? (This rotation will be managed by the TTOO skater on the coaching committee and the home team captains together. *Bout week practices will not be a par
9. If there is no Travel Team bout for the month, should TTOO skaters be required to share duties with the non-bouting team on bout day? *If there isn’t a non-bouting team for the month, production will assign duties for the TTOO skaters.
10. If a home team captain needs to fill in a spot or spots on her roster for one bout, should TTOO be a part of a pool (to include Fresh Meat skaters) from which the captain may choose?
11. From above, home team captains will be responsible for setting home team practice attendance requirements with their selected skater for that bout month.
12. All home team captains must agree on the TTOO skater any home team captain chooses to fill in a spot or spots for her roster on bout day.
13. If a TTOO skater chooses to return to an HRD home team she must wait for an HRD draft. TTOO skater must be her original team’s first draft pick in order to return to her original team. Otherwise she is open to be drafted by any other team.
