HRD Stocking Stuffer "Sevens" Tournament & Holiday Extravaganza
Houston Roller Derby is actively seeking teams for our 3rd Annual Holiday Stocking Stuffer Sevens Tournament on December 9th and 10th!
The Stocking Stuffer “Sevens” tournament is a double-elimination roller derby tournament for challenge teams of up to seven skaters. Each team will compete in 20-minute games to work their way to the end of the tournament bracket for the first-place prize and championship title.
“Sevens” Tournament Rules:
⋆ Games will be played under the 2017 WFTDA/MRDA rule set with the following exceptions:
⋆ Only seven skaters may play on a team. (All skaters must be WFTDA-insured).
⋆ Teams may be all male, all female, or coed.
⋆ Games will last for a single 20 minute period.
⋆ Each team will be allowed one timeout per game, which they can also use as an official review.
⋆ Four penalties is a foul out.
Stocking Stuffer “Sevens” Tournament Registration:
⋆ Registration is $150 / team (only $21 per teammate!)
⋆ Register at http://signup.houstonrollerderby.com to get signed up. Only 16 teams will be registered, so don’t wait!
⋆ Things you’ll need to complete registration: Team name, skaters’ real names, skaters’ derby names, skaters’ numbers, skaters’ WFTDA numbers and two team colors.
⋆ Registration closes December 3rd, 2017.

Tickets will be $10 for a single day or $15 for both days if purchased at the same time. We encourage fans to bring their own chair and BYOB.
Doors open at 10:00 am on Saturday and 9:00 am on Sunday. The tournament will last from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, and 11:00 am to 4:30 pm on Sunday.
The tournament timeline will be based on a double-elimination bracket.
Game times and brackets will be announced on December 4, 2017.

Houston Roller Derby is seeking vendors for our Stocking Stuffer Sevens Tournament to join our holiday-themed vendor village. Vendor spots are 6 foot area. All vendors are responsible for providing their own tables. Vendor spots are $50 per 2-day reservation or $30 per 1-day reservation. Vendor set up is from 8:30 am. Tear down is 4:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday. To reserve your spot, email firstname.lastname@example.org
