MEET LETHAL

Skater number: 50

Years played: 2nd season

How did you first hear about and start playing roller derby?  Roller derby always lingered in the back of my mind as a sport I wanted to eventually try, after watching the movie Whip It. At the time I actively played lacrosse, but once that died down I enrolled in a boot camp at Houston Roller Derby and the rest was history.

Theme song:  Renegade by X Ambassadors

Likes: Cats (all furry animals really), good weather, sciency stuff, rodeo season, coffee, and lazy Sundays

Dislikes:  Snakes, frozen peas, bad weather, and impatience

What is your favorite piece of derby gear? Mouth guard, after spending 4 years in braces I am a little protective of my teeth

Injuries sustained during derby? Lots of bruises, many instances of wounded pride, and a stitched up chin.

Fun Facts:  My derby name, Lethal Concentration stems from what I do for a living. I am an environmental scientist for the oil and gas industry. My time is spent finding the concentration at which a drilling fluid or additive will kill 50% of the shrimp population, hence Lethal Concentration #50.
